Chisara Ezie-Boncoeur

Chisara handles every phase of business disputes. She regularly represents clients from case inception through ultimate resolution, including trial, arbitration, settlement, and appeal.

Chisara offers a unique skill set from being on both sides of the docket, and has an ability to think strategically, and provide practical and reasoned advice. Within months of joining the Firm, she was asked to join a trial team, and she cross-examined witnesses in a federal antitrust litigation. Chisara first chaired a successful appeal with important implications on personal jurisdiction, and her courtroom arguments helped obtain the dismissal of fraudulent transfer claims filed against a high-end retailer.

Chisara is licensed to practice law in Texas, New York, and New Jersey. Prior to joining Lynn Pinker Hurst & Schwegmann, Chisara was an associate at Fox Rothschild LLP in New York where she focused on intellectual property litigation and general litigation. Chisara works relentlessly to meet her client’s expectations and needs to deliver the best outcome for every case she handles.

Chisara previously worked as a legal intern for the United Nations Development Programme, and has lived and worked abroad in Ecuador and Liberia.

Matthew Fallings

Matthew C. Fallings focuses his practice on creditors’ rights, including residential and commercial foreclosures, REO transactions, title resolution, and ejectment actions. He represents corporate clients in both state and federal courts, utilizing his experience in litigation and settlement negotiations to achieve effective outcomes. Matthew has a strong foundation in contract law, insurance, and creditors’ rights law, and is known for helping clients feel prepared and confident, even in complex legal matters.

Matthew earned his Bachelor of Arts from Miami University in 2012, where he triple-majored in Philosophy, History, and Women’s Studies. He went on to receive a Master of Arts in Philosophy and a graduate certificate in Women’s Studies from Stony Brook University in 2014, where he presented his work at philosophy conferences both nationally and internationally. He later earned his Juris Doctor from Penn State Law in 2018.

During law school, Matthew gained valuable experience as a legal intern with the Legal Aid Society of Columbus, Shoaf and Wencker, LLC, and the U.S. Department of Labor. He was also a finalist for the Moot Court team and served on the executive boards of both the Family Law Society and the Black Law Students Association. In 2020, he further expanded his education by earning an MBA certificate from Miami University.

Following graduation, Matthew served as a Judicial Law Clerk to the Honorable Jackie A. Bernard in the Blair County Court of Common Pleas, where he drafted judicial opinions and supported both criminal and civil proceedings. He later worked as a Prosecutor and Trial Attorney for the Bureau of Investigation and Enforcement at the Pennsylvania Public Utility Commission, handling matters involving violations of state and federal utility regulations.

Matthew is admitted to practice in Pennsylvania. Outside of his legal work, he enjoys playing chess and guitar, as well as exploring nature trails. He is originally from Centerville, Ohio.

Kierstin Fowler

Kierstin Fowler focuses her practice on civil litigation matters in both federal and state courts. She has experience assisting in complex commercial, merger and acquisitions and securities litigation matters representing directors and officers, corporations and financial institutions. In addition, Kierstin also maintains an active pro bono practice. While in law school, Kierstin participated in the Prosecution Clinic at the United States Attorney’s Office for the Western District of Virginia. During that time, Kierstin also served on the editorial board of the Virginia Journal of Social Policy and the Law . John Merchant

Depth and variation describe the public finance practice of John over the past 30 years. He has participated in traditional issue, economic development, and health care transactions and served as bond, underwriter, disclosure, and bank counsel for the issuance of tax-exempt and taxable bonds, notes and lease obligations in transactions throughout Ohio and Kentucky. He has served as bond and/or disclosure counsel for every general obligation, economic development revenue, and water revenue bond issue of the City of Cincinnati since 2006. He also has served as bond and disclosure counsel for the Lexington-Fayette Urban County Government for every general obligation issue since 2008. In 2017, he led the Dinsmore team which was selected as bond and disclosure counsel for the City of Dayton. Additionally, he has served as bond, underwriter, and/or bank counsel for traditional issue financings related to schools and universities, transportation, and water and sewer projects. These include bond and lease structures for new money transactions, advance refundings (including crossover structures), and current refundings. These financings have included features such as governmental master trust agreements and subordinated debt. As bond, underwriter, and/or bank counsel for health care & other 501(c)(3) conduit transactions, John has experience with financing structures involving master trust indentures, leases, and financing agreements for private placements. Prior to entering into private practice, John participated in public finance transactions in various positions with the Commonwealth of Kentucky. Tara Jackson

Tara Jackson focuses her practice on securities transactions, mergers and acquisitions, private equity, corporate governance, and other general corporate matters. She represents clients from a broad range of industries, including healthcare, utilities, automotive, and correctional facilities. Her experience also includes technology-driven transactions involving intellectual property assets.

Prior to practicing law, Tara served as the compliance director for a group of financial institutions in Jamaica. In that role, she drafted and implemented Anti-Money Laundering and Counter-Terrorism Financing policies and procedures, and led the corporate restructuring of the group’s lending institution to ensure full compliance with Jamaican laws and regulations.

While attending law school, Tara was a staff editor for the Race and Social Justice Law Review and was recognized as a Dean’s Merit Scholar.
