Alex Adewunmi

Alexander ("Alex") Adewunmi is the founding partner and managing attorney of Adewunmi Law Firm, PLLC. A former Division I student-athlete at Texas Christian University, Alex brings the same discipline, preparation, and competitive drive to the courtroom that he once brought to the football field.

Alex represents clients throughout the DFW Metroplex in complex commercial litigation, family law matters, and business disputes. His litigation experience includes breach of contract, fraud, tortious interference, breach of fiduciary duty, and real estate disputes. In family law, he provides strategic, compassionate representation in divorce, custody, property division, and enforcement matters. Alex also serves as trusted counsel to small businesses and entrepreneurs, guiding them through entity formation, operating agreements, and employment contracts to build solid legal foundations for growth.

Before launching his firm, Alex honed his skills as a commercial litigation associate at Wick Phillips Gould & Martin, LLP, where he supported high-stakes civil matters involving contracts, employment disputes, and construction defects. This big-firm foundation, combined with the personalized attention of a boutique practice, allows him to deliver what larger firms often cannot: direct partner-level attention on every matter.

Alex earned his J.D. from the University of North Texas Dallas College of Law, where he served as President of the Board of Advocates and Staff Editor for the Law Review. He earned national recognition as Best Advocate and Finalist in the 2018 ABA National Employment & Labor Law Mock Trial Competition. He holds a B.S. in Film/Digital Media from TCU, where he was a Big 12 Academic All-American.

In recognition of his contributions to the legal profession and commitment to diversity, Alex was named to The National Black Lawyers Top 40 Under 40 (TX) (2020) and has been recognized as a Texas Rising Star by Thomson Reuters (2022–2025).

Outside the office, Alex enjoys hiking, fishing, and waterskiing.
