April H. Collins is an Alabama attorney who places the utmost emphasis on her clients and ensuring they receive top-notch service. April was recently recognized as a 10 Best Personal Injury Attorney for exceptional and outstanding client service. She understands that case success and client satisfaction go hand-in-hand. She is committed to achieving both.

Prior to starting Collins Law, LLC, April worked with the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development's Office of Fair Housing & Equal Opportunity (FHEO) where she investigated and resolved numerous complex, highly sensitive and difficult allegations of housing discrimination. She also performed reviews of fair housing policies and practices of recipients of federal funds in order to ensure compliance with civil rights laws.

April was raised in Athens, Alabama and graduated from the University of Alabama at Birmingham. While at UAB, April worked as a case manager at a Birmingham area personal injury firm. In 2010, she graduated from Faulkner University's Thomas Goode Jones School of Law in Montgomery, Alabama.

While in law school, April interned for Associate Justice Patricia M. Smith at the Alabama Supreme Court.  She also worked for the Federal Defenders for the Middle District of Alabama. She served on the Editorial Board of the Faulkner Law Review and her note, You Be the Judge: Avoiding Attorney Discipline by Taking the Bench, 13 T.G. Jones L. Rev. 1, 35 (2008) was published. April was an executive board member of the Black Law Students Association and a member of its mock trial team, competing in the regional and national Thurgood Marshall Mock Trial Competition.

April served in the school's public interest program and was named a Public Interest Fellow. She was a recipient of the Justice Janie L. Shores Scholarship, named by the Alabama Law Foundation in honor of the first female Alabama Supreme Court Justice.  She is a member of the Alabama Lawyers Association, Magic City Bar Association, Birmingham Bar Association and the American Bar Association.
