About

Danielle Donovan's practice focuses on corporate restructuring, including representing debtors, creditors, and other constituencies in chapter 11 proceedings, complex bankruptcy litigation, and out-of-court insolvency-related matters. She advises clients in matters related to distressed asset sales, corporate governance and fiduciary obligations in the zone of insolvency, best operational practices while in bankruptcy, and crisis management.

Danielle currently represents FTD Companies and its debtor affiliates in their chapter 11 cases. She also represents Bestwall LLC in its chapter 11 case and, in particular, in connection with Bestwall's efforts to achieve a permanent resolution of its asbestos liabilities through a plan of reorganization.

Danielle has extensive experience representing clients operating in the retail sector. Prior to joining Jones Day, she worked at an international law firm in New York where she represented Claire's Stores, Golfsmith International Holdings, Central Grocers, Fairway Group Holdings, and The Great Atlantic & Pacific Tea Company in their chapter 11 cases and LEGO Systems in connection with the chapter 11 cases of Toys "R" Us and its affiliates.

Danielle is a member of the International Women's Insolvency & Restructuring Confederation (IWIRC) and serves as secretary of the board of directors of the IWIRC-Georgia Network. She also is an active member of the Georgia Association of Black Women Attorneys.
