Broderick Dunn has spent his career helping individuals and small businesses navigate the litigation process, avoid costly disputes, and maneuver through all types of employment issues. Broderick is a leader in the commercial litigation and employment bar and regularly writes and speaks about Virginia’s new employment laws, workplace harassment, workplace assault, social media in the workplace, and business torts. He also regularly appears in state and federal courts and in front of private arbitrators, mediators, and administrative agencies. 

After graduating from Williams College with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and American Studies, Broderick obtained his J.D. from Washington & Lee University School of Law in 2007, where he was the recipient of the Claytor Family Endowment Scholarship. Since then, Broderick has practiced law in Virginia and Maryland, representing clients in all types of employment and business matters. He also represents clients in federal courts in the District of Columbia. Broderick is a member of the Executive Committee of the Virginia Bar Association Labor and Employment Section, the Leadership Committee of the Fairfax Bar Association’s Employment Section, and the Northern Virginia Black Attorneys Association.

Outside of the courtroom, Broderick is active in his community. In 2014, he was appointed to the Fairfax County Civil Service Commission. Following his service on the Civil Service Commission, Broderick was appointed as the Braddock District Commissioner on the Fairfax County Redevelopment and Housing Authority in 2020.  Broderick serves as a class agent for Woodberry Forest School’s annual fund. In the spring of 2021, Broderick was elected to serve on Woodberry’s Board of Trustees. Broderick also serves as a 2004 class agent for Williams College’s annual fund. He relishes any opportunity to serve his community, both professionally and personally.
