Remington A. Jackson is a commercial real estate and land use attorney at Parker Poe Adams & Bernstein. Remington represents developers, owners, lenders, landlords, and tenants in commercial real estate transactions. He regularly negotiates and drafts transaction documents including construction and leverage loan agreements, purchase and sale agreements, management agreements, licenses, leases, restrictions, and easements. As part of his practice, Remington advises developers on zoning issues in front of local governments to help win approval.
Prior to joining Parker Poe, Remington served as in-house counsel practicing real estate law with the Port Authority of Greater Cincinnati, a quasi-governmental agency in Cincinnati, Ohio. He has also worked as a commercial real estate associate with one of the country's top 200 largest law firms.
Remington earned his Juris Doctorate from the University of Cincinnati College of Law and a BA in Philosophy and Political Science from the College of Wooster. While at the University of Cincinnati, he served as reprint editor for the Immigration and Nationality Law Review and as president of the Black Law Students Association. He has also served as a judicial extern for the Honorable Judge Jeffery P. Hopkins who was then a chief judge in U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of Ohio.
