Elderidge Nichols represents domestic and international insurers in high-exposure, complex insurance coverage litigation in state and federal courts. His practice involves general liability, directors' and officers' liability, professional liability and bad faith claims. Elderidge also has experience in complex insurance coverage cases arising from toxic tort, environmental, professional liability and construction defect matters. He has served as second-chair trial counsel in a complex insurance coverage case involving the trigger, allocation, and exhaustion theories applied to progressive disease claims spanning multiple policy periods of a decades-long, multi-carrier, multi-policy, multi-layered liability insurance coverage block. During law school, Elderidge was selected to submit an amicus brief in El-Amin v. Commonwealth to the US District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia concerning a constitutional challenge to Virginia's felon disenfranchisement. Elderidge was selected by The National Black Lawyers as one of its "Top 40 Under 40" in Washington, D.C.
