Gerond J. Lawrence is a Senior Associate in the Litigation Section of Thomas Kennedy Sampson & Tompkins LLP. He focuses his practice on the defense of employment related claims, civil rights, premises liability, insurance defense, wrongful death, and contractual relations.
Gerond received his Juris Doctor degree in 2013 from the University of Virginia School of Law, where he served as an executive editor of the Virginia Journal of Social Policy and the Law. Gerond holds a Bachelor of Arts degree, summa cum laude, from Howard University. While at Howard, Gerond was inducted into Phi Beta Kappa.
Gerond has served as a judicial intern for the Honorable Patsy Y. Porter of the State Court of Fulton County and the Honorable Russell F. Canan of the Superior Court of the District of Columbia. He also served as a summer associate with TKST while in law school.
Gerond is admitted to practice before the United States Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit, the United States District Court for the Northern District of Georgia, the Supreme Court of Georgia, the Court of Appeals of Georgia, and all trial level courts in Georgia. He is admitted in the state of Georgia and in the United States Virgin Islands.
