Jalyn R. Parks is a proud Columbus, Ohio native and Managing Attorney at The J. Parks Firm LLC. Her primary areas of practice Business Transactions, Entrepreneurship Law and Domestic Relations. She is licensed to practice in Ohio and Georgia.
Attorney Parks' career has been built on a passion for serving others. Prior to attending law school, she held several roles at boutique law firms, Corporate America, The Ohio Senate and the Cuyahoga County Court of Common Pleas.Â Through her experience in the legislative and judicial branches, Jalyn brings a distinct skill set to the legal field. These hands-on experiences cultivated an appetite for the law which developed an acute understanding public policy issues and business transactions.
Ms. Parks also has a deep commitment to community service that is fueled by opportunities to uplift underrepresented communities.Â She currently serves as Chair of the Solo/Small Firm Section of the John Mercer Langston Bar Association and advises the Midwest Black Law Students Association as an Alumni Board Member. Attorney Parks was also recently named Top 40 under 40 by The National Black Lawyers Association.
Jalyn prides herself in being a compassionate advocate who offers creative, innovative solutions to client's problems. She is passionate about using her knowledge of the law to advance urban communities through supporting small businesses, cultivating healthy families and removing barriers to justice.
She graduated cum laude from Wittenberg University with a B.A. in Sociology and obtain her Juris Doctorate from Cleveland Marshall College of Law.
