Sandy Steed is an Assistant County Attorney with the Broward County Attorney’s Office. She represents multiple Broward County agencies and handles a variety of transactional and administrative matters. Her practice includes drafting, analyzing, and negotiating multi-million dollar contracts, providing legal guidance related to the procurement of goods and services on behalf of the County, advising her client agencies on various matters, and drafting legislative matters for enactment or adoption by the Broward County Board of County Commissioners.

Prior to joining the Broward County Attorney’s Office, Ms. Steed worked with a reputable complex commercial litigation firm where she represented healthcare providers in contract negotiations, in alternative dispute resolution proceedings, and in complex commercial litigation. In 2022, she was recognized by The National Black Lawyers as a Top 40 under 40 attorney.

Ms. Steed graduated magna cum laude from Florida Atlantic University, where she earned her Bachelor of Arts degree with majors in Criminal Justice and Sociology. She earned her law degree from Florida International University College of Law, graduating cum laude.
