Ryan Hicks is an Associate in the Firm’s Tampa office. He focuses his practice on the representation of Plaintiffs in medical negligence, personal injury, and wrongful death cases. Originally from Northern Virginia, Mr. Hicks relocated to Florida in 2003 and attended the University of Tampa where he earned his bachelor’s degree in Criminology.

Mr. Hicks graduated cum laude from Stetson University College of Law where he received the William F. Blews Pro Bono Service Award. During law school, he served as a Federal Judicial Intern to the Honorable Elizabeth A. Kovachevich. Prior to joining Trentalange & Kelly, P.A., Mr. Hicks worked at the Tampa office of Freeborn & Peters LLP where he focused his practice on insurance coverage litigation, professional liability defense, and complex commercial litigation. Before attending law school, Mr. Hicks was a Paralegal at Hollingsworth LLP in Washington, DC assisting in mass toxic tort and product liability defense. Ryan was also a Paralegal at Phelps Dunbar LLP assisting in commercial litigation.

Mr. Hicks is admitted to practice in all State courts in Florida, as well as the United States District Courts for the Northern, Middle, and Southern Districts of Florida.

He is a member of the American Bar AssociationFlorida Justice AssociationAmerican Association for JusticeTBTLA, and the Hillsborough County Bar Association. In addition to practicing law Mr. Hicks is on the Board of Trustees for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society – Suncoast Chapter.
