Brittney D. Johnson litigates cases in nationwide state and federal venues. Her trial experience includes the representation of clients in high-stakes business and product related disputes. Brittney's practice encompasses a broad range of complex cases, including commercial litigation, specialty torts, product liability, and insurance matters. Brittney has hands-on experience with every phase of litigation, from written discovery to expert and corporate witness depositions to trial and appeal. Having tried cases to verdict, Brittney applies a sense of courtroom-ready intuition to each case. She takes time to understand the business and regulatory complexities facing her clients, and she understands the technical issues at play in their legal disputes. By formulating effective litigation strategies, Brittney steers disputes toward favorable resolutions for her clients while protecting their business assets and reputations. When the stakes are especially high, Brittney has assisted clients with conducting jury focus groups and mock trials. Through these exercises, she helps clients understand jurors' perceptions of their case themes, evaluate their liability and verdict exposures prior to trial, and execute reasonable settlement strategies, when appropriate. As a law student, Brittney clerked for Judge Marcia A. Crone in the Eastern District of Texas. Recently, Brittney spent several months as a "Lawyer on Loan" with the district attorney's office, where she first chaired multiple jury and bench trials with success. Brittney is a 2017 alumna of the State Bar of Texas Leadership Program. She was a member of the 2015 Leadership Class of the Dallas Association of Young Lawyers. In her spare time, Brittney enjoys playing tennis and volunteering with organizations dedicated to the empowerment of economically disadvantaged and at-risk youth. She served on the board of trustees for Girls Inc., a non-profit organization offering various programs aimed at its mission of "inspiring all girls to be strong, smart, and bold." As part of her service in the State Bar of Texas Leadership Program, Brittney visited multiple public high schools and presented "What Do Lawyers Do?" to students interested in joining the legal profession. Previously, Brittney volunteered as a mentor with a teenage pregnancy program in Bryan Texas, where she helped multiple young mothers obtain higher education and vocational training. To support herself through college, Brittney worked as a sports official, where she refereed high school basketball and volleyball games.
