Ifeanyi Ezeigbo is an associate with Goodell DeVries and a member of the firm's Medical Malpractice group. Ifeanyi represents health care providers and health care institutions in all phases of medical malpractice litigation from commencement to completion. He is experienced in all aspects of complex litigation, including investigation, depositions, motions practice, discovery disputes, and settlement.
Prior to joining Goodell DeVries, Ifeanyi was Of Counsel at a mid-sized regional law firm with his practice focused on railroad liability, premises liability, and medical malpractice defense. He also has extensive experience with litigating toxic torts and insurance defense matters. Prior to entering private practice, Ifeanyi served as a Judicial Law Clerk to the Honorable Alfred Nance on the Circuit Court for Baltimore City.
Ifeanyi received his J.D. from American University's Washington College of Law, where he served as Publications Editor for the American University Journal of Gender, Social Policy, and the Law. While in law school, Ifeanyi published his article, "The Questionable Constitutionality of Mechanical Restraints in the Classroom: A Critique of the Tenth Circuit's Decision in Ebonie S. v. Pueblo School District No. 60" in one of the journal's volumes. Ifeanyi received his B.A., cum laude, from St. Mary's College of Maryland, where he majored in Economics and Spanish Literature. He is a fluent Spanish speaker.
Ifeanyi is an active member of the Bar Association of Baltimore City, where he has served on the Communications and News Journal Committee. He is also a member of the Monumental City Bar Association. Ifeanyi has been named to the Top 40 Under 40 by the National Black Lawyers Top 100 for 2020 and 2021 (Maryland).

Laverne Largie Tucker, Esq., is barred in the states of Maryland, District of Columbia, New York and Florida. Her practice areas include general civil litigation, personal injury and health care law. She also has experience in workers' compensation, premises liability and administrative law.
She's the "past" Chair of the National Bar Association's Health Law Section since July 2016; which was recently awarded Section of the Year in July 2018 and July 2019. She has been an esteemed member of the National Black Lawyers Top 100 (Maryland), since 2015. She was previously employed as In-House Counsel for Liberty Mutual Group; wherein she represented Liberty Mutual and its policyholders in civil litigation matters from 2011 - 2015. She obtained an LL.M degree in Health Care Law from Loyola University of Chicago in 2012, while working full-time as a litigator. In March of 2013, she became certified in Health Care Compliance (CHC) by the Health Care Compliance Association. Kennedy is an Associate in our Health Care and EMERGE practice groups.
Kennedy’s practice primarily focuses on transactional health care matters and corporate regulatory compliance. Outside of advising on general health care regulatory compliance, she supports M&A deals for large health care companies, provides licensing board defense for various professions, and assists new practitioners with getting off the ground. Her practical experience includes healthcare advocacy, labor & employment disputes, and advising for healthcare delivery systems and providers.
Prior to joining Gordon Feinblatt, Kennedy served as a law clerk at a local law firm. She provided regulatory guidance to hospital systems, long-term care facilities, and behavioral health care organizations. She also drafted legal documents related to health care compliance including Medicaid, Medicare, HIPAA, and FDA regulations, and prepared pleadings for labor and employment disputes. Kennedy also has experience navigating civil disputes and negotiating agreements on behalf of low-income Baltimore residents, most notably securing a $5,000 debt dismissal and subsidized housing for a client. As a former member of the Alternative Dispute Resolution Team, Kennedy has showcased her negotiation skills to a variety of former judges, attorneys, and government officials across the Mid-Atlantic region.
Kennedy has a strong background in public health, having earned a Bachelor of Sciences and Master of Public Health from Syracuse University. Her public health expertise includes program monitoring and evaluation, community partnership collaboration, social justice advocacy, and developing healthcare initiatives.
Beteley T. Mulatu focuses her practice on counseling and defending employers, insurers, and third-party administrators in workers’ compensation matters. She is engaged in all aspects of the claims process from beginning to end, including discovery, depositions, hearings, petitions, mediations, settlement, and trial.
Beteley draws on her experience as a law clerk in the Office of the General Counsel for the Department of Justice, U.S. Marshals Service, where she conducted extensive legal research and analysis on complex legal issues, analyzed pleadings, motions and discovery materials, and drafted legal memoranda, briefs, and other documents for submission to federal courts. She also served as a judicial law clerk for the Hon. Gregory Sampson of the Circuit Court for Baltimore City.
