Brianna N. Cummings is a corporate attorney who also advises businesses in various industries on corporate governance, mergers and acquisitions, minority investments and a range of other matters. Her experience includes contract drafting, negotiating purchase agreements and other ancillary documents. Brianna has represented domestic, international, and multinational companies as buyers, sellers, and investors in a variety of transactions.
Prior to joining Kupfer, PLLC, Brianna practiced in New York City with two international law firms. Brianna received her J.D. from Columbia Law School, and is admitted to practice in Michigan and New York. She is an active member of the Black Biglaw Pipeline and Detroit Young Professionals.
Brianna received a B.A. in International Relations from Michigan State University where she held various leadership positions.
Brianna lives in Detroit, MI with her two dogs. In her free time, she enjoys traveling, reading (Young Adult Fiction/Mysteries), watching historical fiction & documentaries, and attending sporting events.
Wayne is a dedicated advocate who has a proven track record in pursuing the rights of victims. In each case, Wayne is committed to creating a safe environment for clients while relentlessly pursuing accountability for survivors.
Prior to joining Herman Law, Wayne represented victims of child sexual abuse at a prominent Manhattan law firm pursuant to the Child Victims Act. Wayne has a history of advocating for the rights of victims, demonstrated in his role as a criminal prosecutor. Wayne also spent a portion of his career handling civil defense matters.
Wayne obtained his bachelor’s degree from Albright College and his J.D. from Case Western Reserve University, where he participated on the Mock Trial team. Wayne is licensed to practice in the state of New York.

Kareem R. Vessup, Esq. is the founder of The Law Office of Kareem R. In addition to practicing law, Mr. Vessup has taught trial advocacy at the undergraduate and law school levels of St. John's University for the past 11 years. He serves as an Adjunct Professor of Legal Studies at St. John's University for the past 7 years and recently completed his first year as a trial advocacy professor working alongside Prof. Lou Fasulo, Esq., at Pace Law School. Vessup has also been a guest lecturer in trial advocacy at several area law schools, mock trial programs, national leadership programs, and public schools.
Vessup is a double alum of St. John's University and St. John's School of Law. He has been recognized repeatedly for excellence in trial advocacy by the nation's leading trial organizations. Most recently, he was named a New York Metro Area "Rising Star” for 2013 and 2014 by Super Lawyers, a distinction reserved for top attorneys under the age of 40.
