Sydney litigates complex, high-stakes disputes, partnering with clients to mitigate risk and maximize outcomes. As a member of Taft’s Commercial Litigation Practice, Sydney practices and advises clients in federal and state courts across the country on their most sensitive issues including class actions, complex torts, government investigations, securities and financial services litigation, consumer deception and privacy claims, antitrust matters, state and federal false claims acts, and constitutional claims. Her work spans all stages of complex civil litigation — from dispositive motions practice to discovery, trial, and appeals.

Sydney previously served as a judicial law clerk for the Honorable Anna Blackburne-Rigsby, Chief Judge of the D.C. Court of Appeals, and the Honorable Lynn Leibovitz of the D.C. Superior Court. Before joining Taft, she developed her expertise at different international law firms. She earned her J.D. from UCLA School of Law, where she served as Articles Editor for the UCLA Law Review.

Before law school, Sydney worked at Morgan Stanley in support of its Fixed Income Trading Desk and various Operations teams, focusing on trade support, risk management, and business operations. She also acted as a liaison between the business unit and regulators, including FINRA and the Federal Reserve.
