Michala D. Black focuses her practice on medical malpractice defense, professional licensing, complex civil litigation. Michala is thorough and passionate in her defense of clients. She uses her LLM in Trial Advocacy to provide a zealous defense through the art of persuasive advocacy in depositions, negotiations, and state and federal court proceedings.
Michala has experience as a civil litigator representing clients in a variety of consumer finance matters in addition to government and regulatory-related matters in Virginia and Pennsylvania. Michala also served as a Philadelphia Assistant District Attorney advocating in court, negotiating offers, and collaborating with court officials.
Michala graduated from Vanderbilt University Law School, where she participated in the Black Law Students Association and Mock Trial team. While attending law school, Michala was selected as a Branstetter Litigation and Alternative Dispute Resolution fellow.
Michala is committed to maintaining a robust pro bono practice and is active in the community.
