Melody Miles Haynes is the owner and founding attorney of Haynes Group LLC, which specializes in Estate Planning and Asset Protection Services.
She earned a bachelor’s degree in English from Oakwood University, a master’s degree in Education from Morgan State University, and a Juris Doctor with a concentration in public and governmental service from the University of Baltimore School of Law. Melody began her professional career as a high school English teacher in the Baltimore City Public School System before transitioning to law.
Almost two decades ago, she began her legal career fighting for justice as a Criminal Trial Attorney, representing more than 20,000 clients and achieving countless victories before judges and juries. Melody is licensed to practice law in Maryland and the District of Columbia, and she also holds federal licenses, including a license from the Supreme Court of the United States of America.
After losing her father suddenly and helping her family navigate the aftermath, Melody discovered her true calling in Estate Planning. She finds fulfillment in helping individuals and families plan for the future and establish a lasting legacy for generations to come.
When she is not working, Melody enjoys spending time with her husband, two children, and two rottweilers in their home in Upper Marlboro, MD. She also enjoys good food, traveling, supporting the arts, and serving at her church.
