Juan Dawson is an attorney in the firm’s Atlanta office where he helps guide clients through commercial and business litigation. Juan also defends clients in state and federal courts focusing on defending lawyers, accountants, and other professionals against negligence and malpractice claims. Juan has experience in a variety of legal proceedings including offensive and defensive discovery, drafting motions and pleadings, and providing oral advocacy on behalf of clients. Prior to joining Stites & Harbison, Juan represented energy and utility clients before state and federal regulatory bodies. He also has experience with the Public Utility Regulatory Policies Act of 1978 (PURPA), the Federal Power Act, and other state and federal energy policies.
Juan maintains an active pro bono practice where he volunteers with legal aid organizations to support veterans and medically-needy individuals in Georgia who seek to obtain a qualified income trust.
