Christopher Martin

Member Details

Christopher Martin is an associate in Davis Polk & Wardwell LLP’s Restructuring practice, based in New York. He advises clients on restructurings, distressed financings, and complex capital structure transactions, guiding companies, lenders, and other stakeholders through Chapter 11 proceedings, recapitalizations, and strategic restructuring initiatives.

Christopher has been part of the teams advising:

  • Goldman Sachs, as representative of the initial purchasers, in a $555 million senior secured notes offering by Dye & Durham Corporation
  • Goldman Sachs, Morgan Stanley, Mizuho Securities USA, RBC Capital Markets and two major financial institutions, as initial purchasers, in a $500 million offering of senior unsecured notes by Sensata Technologies, Inc.
  • Goldman Sachs, as administrative agent, collateral agent, L/C issuer, joint lead arranger and joint bookrunner, in a $350 million term loan facility and $77 million revolving credit facility for Dye & Durham Corporation
  • Goldman Sachs, Credit Suisse, Evercore and another financial institution, as representatives of the underwriters, in the $178 million initial public offering of The Vita Coco Company, Inc. (a portfolio company of Verlinvest)
  • Morgan Stanley, RBC Capital Markets and another financial institution, as representatives of the underwriters, in its $116 million offering of common stock by Sonida Senior Living, Inc.
  • Softtek Integration Systems, Inc. in its $50 million private placement of 7.89% senior unsecured notes due 2032
  • TE Connectivity plc (f/k/a TE Connectivity, Ltd.), through its wholly owned subsidiary Tyco Electronics Group S.A., as issuer, in a $1.25 billion commercial paper program; and with its re-domestication from Switzerland to Ireland
  • TPG Inc. in its $1.1 billion initial public offering

Christopher was previously an associate in Weil’s Restructuring practice where he participated in the representation of Firm clients in domestic and cross-border corporate restructurings and distressed financings.

Christopher received his J.D. and M.B.A. from the University of Virginia, where he served as a Programs Editor of the Sports and Entertainment Law Journal, and his B.A. from Vanderbilt University.
