After joining the Army Reserve, Nekedia Heath graduated with honors from the University of South Carolina with a bachelor’s degree in Criminology and Criminal Justice. Thereafter, she attended the Charleston School of Law and graduated with Honors. At the onset of her career as an Attorney, Nekedia knew that she wanted to fight the rights of those accused of crimes. As a public defender she saw the injustice of the criminal system in this state. Her lifelong passion is to be a servant to those who cannot fight for themselves.
