Jamy Barreau is an attorney with experience handling all aspects of preserving generational wealth, including matters related to trusts and estates as well as business planning. A first-generation Haitian American, he has dedicated his life to the practice of law.

Early Life and Education

Raised in his hometown of Port St. Lucie, Jamy graduated with high honors from St. Lucie West Centennial High School in 2009, where he participated in the school’s Criminal Justice Academy and served as an advocate for the 19th Judicial Circuit’s Teen Court program. He then earned his B.S. in Legal Studies from the University of Central Florida, completing his degree full-time while working full-time at Universal Studios Orlando.

Law School and Early Career

Jamy attended Barry University School of Law, where he served on the editorial board of the Law Review Journal as a Research and Technical Editor. He graduated from Barry Law in 2017 and returned to the Treasure Coast to gain experience in estate planning, trust administration, probate administration, business planning, residential mortgage foreclosures, and evictions.

Advanced Education

In 2021, Jamy earned his LL.M. in Taxation with a concentration in estate planning from Boston University School of Law to further his mission of guiding his community in matters of generational wealth.

Professional and Teaching Roles

In addition to his legal practice, Jamy serves as an adjunct professor of law at Purdue Global Law School and continues to expand his knowledge to better serve his community. He is licensed to practice in Florida, Minnesota, and the District of Columbia.
