Carlos Moore Elected President of the National Bar Association

Congratulations to Carlos Moore, the Managing Partner of The Cochran Firm – Mississippi Delta, on his election to President-elect of the National Bar Association! 

Attorney Carlos Moore, managing partner of The Cochran Firm – Mississippi Delta, was elected President of the National Bar Association for 2021, marking the first time an attorney with the Mississippi Bar Association won the presidency for the NBA.

Moore will serve as President-Elect for 2020 and then be sworn in President at the 96th annual National Bar Association convention July 29, 2021 in Memphis, Tenn.  The National Bar Association represents more than 80,000 primarily African-American attorneys around the United States.  The organization was founded in 1925 and is the oldest and largest national organization of its kind.  Its membership includes some of the highest-profile African-American attorneys in the world.   

Moore has been a trial lawyer for nearly 20 years.  Prior to joining The Cochran Firm, he was the Managing Partner at the Moore Law Group.  He has litigated hundreds of cases with a focus on civil rights, police brutality, catastrophic personal injury and wrongful death.  Moore earned his undergraduate degree from the University of South Alabama and his J.D. from the Florida State University College of Law.
