Lonita Baker Sworn in as 80th President of National Bar Association

Louisville attorney Lonita Baker was sworn in as the 80th president of the National Bar Association at the organization’s annual conference in Memphis Thursday.

NBA member and Jefferson Circuit Court Judge Brian Edwards administered the oath.

The National Bar Association was founded in 1925 and is the nation's oldest and largest national network of predominantly African-American attorneys and judges. It represents the interests of approximately 65,000 lawyers, judges, law professors and law students.
