Alyease Jones

Member Details

The attorney focuses on family law practice areas including divorce, parental responsibilities (custody), child support, parenting time (visitation), orders of protection, and education matters. She is the founder and managing attorney of her practice and is licensed to practice law in Illinois.

She earned her Juris Doctor from Western Michigan University, Cooley Law School in Lansing, Michigan in 2013, graduating cum laude. During law school, she received multiple academic honors, including placement on the Honor Roll and Dean’s List. She completed her undergraduate studies at Northern Illinois University in 2008, earning a Bachelor of Science in Political Science with honors.

Her professional development includes participation in various legal education and training events. She has presented for the Chicago Bar Association on topics such as expanding family law practice through unbundled legal services (March 5, 2019). She also participated in a Mother’s Day Tea event hosted by the Family Defense Center on May 10, 2017, where discussions centered on experiences and cases involving the Illinois Department of Children & Family Services (DCFS). Additionally, she has been involved in the Incubator Consortium’s 4th Annual Conference at Texas A&M University School of Law, where she spoke on access to justice initiatives, including incubators, residencies, apprenticeships, and nonprofit law firms (March 18, 2017), as well as pricing, budgeting, and profit generation strategies for legal practices.

Her professional and community involvement includes participation in several legal and public service organizations. She is involved with the Chicago Bar Foundation and its Justice Entrepreneurship Project. She has volunteered with E.V.E. (End Violent Encounters), the Sixty Plus Elderlaw Clinic, the Washtenaw Public Defender’s Clinic, CARPLS Legal Aid Hotline (Chicago Advice and Referral Program for Legal Services), Chicago Legal Clinic, and Chicago Volunteer Legal Services.
