André Washington represents regional and national lenders with respect to a variety of financing transactions, including community development lending involving low-income and senior housing, bond financing, transactions involving federal and state tax credits, construction lending, and commercial real estate transactions.
Prior to joining Phillips Lytle, he represented bank and non-bank lenders in connection with private equity leveraged buy-outs, REIT financings, and other corporate lending transactions, including senior secured and unsecured credit facilities, unitranche financings, first lien and second lien transactions, subordinated financings, and cash flow as well as asset-based transactions. His extensive experience in banking and corporate representation includes drafting and negotiating credit agreements, intercreditor agreements, security and pledge agreements, servicing agreements, and other ancillary finance transaction documents, as well as the review and analysis of due diligence. In 2023 and 2024, André served as a judicial law clerk to the Honorable Frank P. Geraci, Jr., United States District Judge, Western District of New York.
