Brittney Williams is the Managing Partner at B. Williams Law Firm, PLLC, located in Houston, Texas, whose practice primarily focuses on labor and employment law and commercial litigation. Specifically, Brittney provides a full range of labor and employment law services to both employers and employees, including pre-termination counseling, Equal Employment Opportunity training, employee handbook review, leaves of absence and reduction in force advice, as well as drafting policies and employment-related agreements, and providing representation in administrative proceedings (EEOC/TWC Charges of Discrimination and TWC unemployment compensation claims).

 

Brittney also provides litigation representation in state and federal court for labor and employment disputes on behalf of both plaintiffs and defendants, including, but not limited to, disputes involving

employment-related agreements (independent contractor agreements; non-compete, non-solicitation, and confidentiality agreements; and arbitration agreements); claims of discrimination, harassment, and retaliation; and FLSA violations.

Brittney also represents clients in a variety of commercial disputes, including claims of breach of contract, fraud, misrepresentation, breach of fiduciary duty, violation of the Deceptive Trade Practices Act, and violation of the Texas Uniform Trade Secrets Act. 

 

During law school, Brittney served as a judicial clerk for an administrative law judge at the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and as a law clerk for the National Labor Relations Board, Region 31.

 

Brittney earned her J.D. from UCLA School of Law in 2013. She also earned both a B.B.A. and a B.S. from The University of Texas at Austin in 2009, where she was recognized as a College Scholar, received University Honors, and was named to the Dean’s List. In addition, she attended ESCP-EAP European School of Management in Paris, France during the summer of 2008 in The Red McCombs School of Business' Study Abroad Program.

 

Brittney is admitted to practice law in California and Texas. She is fluent in English and proficient in Spanish.
