Rita White owns and manages the Law Office of Rita O. White, PLLC. She specializes in criminal defense, probate, and family law. Prior to the launch of her own practice, Attorney White worked as a Wayne County Assistant Prosecutor for over 9 years where she prosecuted criminal cases on a daily basis. White graduated from the University of Michigan-Ann Arbor with a degree in biopsychology. During her years there, she was a high-ranking member of the U-M Women's Track & Field team. In practice for over 20 years, she has litigated hundreds of criminal & civil cases involving homicides child welfare, juvenile, divorce, robberies, drug trafficking, child support and financial crimes. A graduate of the Wayne State University Law School, White is a member of several professional organizations, including the Vanzetti Hamilton Bar Association. She is the immediate past president of the Black Women Lawyers Association of Michigan. She has also served as Regional Representative for the Women Lawyers Association of Michigan, Washtenaw Region.
