Destiny Ogedegbe

Destiny Ogedegbe is a corporate attorney in the New York office of Paul, Weiss, where he advises leading global corporations, private equity sponsors, and financial institutions on high-stakes transactions, including mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, recapitalizations, equity issuances, and buyouts. His pro bono work focuses on supporting entrepreneurs and small-scale corporate vehicles led by founders from minority and immigrant backgrounds. Destiny holds a Master of Laws from Harvard Law School, where he specialized in corporate, finance and securities regulation. He graduated with First-Class Honors from the Nigerian Law School and First-Class Honors in Law from the University of Benin, where he finished at the top of his class. He is licensed to practice in both Nigeria and New York. 

Beyond legal practice, Destiny serves as a Director of Boys Without Borders, a non-profit initiative equipping young boys across Nigeria with mentorship, leadership training, and access to educational and professional opportunities. He is also the co-founder of Idalia Africa, a talent-development platform that expands global opportunities for emerging African American and African professionals through curated programs, fellowships and international placements (including at institutions such as CERN). In addition to his work in the talent and education ecosystem, Destiny is an early stage investor in minority-led businesses, supporting ventures led by African founders in the U.S. and on the continent. His investment interests span education, technology, media, and community-impact enterprises committed to strengthening Africa’s economic and professional landscape. In his free time, Destiny enjoys teaching chess, finance, and law , disciplines he uses to help young people strengthen problem-solving abilities, strategic thinking and self- development.
