Jana K. Jones is a dedicated family law attorney serving the Charlotte, North Carolina area. A native of Charlotte, she attended East Mecklenburg High School before earning her Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. During her undergraduate studies, Ms. Jones was a member of the Phi Delta Phi Legal Fraternity and actively participated in mentoring programs for at-risk students and immigrant women.
Ms. Jones pursued her Juris Doctor at North Carolina Central University’s School of Law, where she gained valuable experience working with the Center for Child and Family Health in Durham. Her contributions included grant writing and creating evidentiary memoranda related to child sexual abuse cases. She also participated in Durham’s Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault Response Teams, collaborated with the Durham Police Department, and was involved in the Innocence Project. For her public service efforts, she received the North Carolina Bar Association’s Certificate of Achievement for Public Service.
Since being admitted to the North Carolina State Bar, Ms. Jones has been in private practice in the greater Charlotte area for over a decade, focusing on family law with a particular emphasis on fathers’ rights. She is a member of several professional associations, including the Mecklenburg County Bar Association, the John S. Leary Association of Black Attorneys, and the North Carolina Association of Women Attorneys. Outside of her legal practice, Ms. Jones enjoys traveling, exploring new restaurants, and spending time with her husband and daughter.
