Jarred Reed is a partner in the Madison County office of Lewis Brisbois who has been with the firm since 2021. Jarred represents individuals as well as businesses, ranging from family-owned to Fortune 500 national and multinational corporations. He concentrates his litigation practice in the areas of premises liability, product liability, toxic tort, environmental, transportation, general negligence, and business practices litigation.
Jarred primarily focuses his practice in federal and state courts in Illinois and Missouri. Jarred is admitted to the State Bars of Illinois, Missouri, Kansas, and the District of Columbia. He is also admitted into the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Illinois; U.S. District Court for the Central District of Illinois; U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Missouri; U.S. District Court for the Western District of Missouri; and U.S. District Court for the District of Kansas.
While in law school, Jarred was awarded the Julian Blackshear, Jr. Outstanding Student Award and served as Captain of the Thurgood Marshall Mock Trial Team. Jarred has recently served as the first African-American President of his high school’s alumni association. Jarred also currently serves as a Board Member of Helping Hand Me Downs, a non-profit organization dedicated to enhance the quality of life for children and families in the St. Louis area by meeting their immediate needs, then connecting them with life-changing resources that foster independence.
In 2023, Jarred was named to the National Black Lawyers’ “Top 40 Under 40” list for a second consecutive year. The National Black Lawyers’ “Top 40 Under 40” list recognizes talented black attorneys who have met rigorous selection criteria including having an outstanding reputation among peers, the judiciary and the public, and notable achievements, settlements, and verdicts as a lawyer.
