Jaycee Parker is an associate in the Los Angeles office of Locke Lord and a member of the firm’s Litigation Group. Jaycee previously practiced as a litigation associate at Milbank LLP.
Primary Focus & Experience
Jaycee's practice focuses on federal criminal defense and internal investigations. She recently served as junior trial counsel in the United States District Court for the Southern District of New York.
Jaycee earned her J.D. from New York University School of Law, where she served on the executive board of the Black Allied Law Students Association (BALSA). Jaycee was also active in Ending the Prison Industrial Complex (EPIC), where she advocated to end solitary confinement in New York jails and co-taught a legal research and advocacy course to women incarcerated at Bedford Hills Correctional Facility in upstate New York. Jaycee later served as EPIC’s Director of Diversity & Outreach.
As a member of NYU’s Civil Rights Clinic, Jaycee advocated around school desegregation, employment discrimination, and policing. She subsequently served as a student attorney in NYU’s Juvenile Defense Clinic, where she worked in The Legal Aid Society’s Juvenile Rights Practice to represent youth accused of crimes in New York County. Jaycee was also selected for NYU’s Social Sector Leadership Diversity Fellowship.
Prior to law school, Jaycee worked as an Investigative Analyst at the Manhattan District Attorney’s Office where she investigated police misconduct and public integrity cases in the Public Corruption Unit.
Jaycee earned her B.A. from Columbia University in Psychology and African-American Studies.
