I am a seasoned regulatory attorney with extensive experience in the technology and communications sector. As a Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP/US), I bring substantive knowledge in data privacy, network security, and regulatory compliance, along with deep experience in regulatory advocacy and litigation.
Current Role
I am currently a Partner at Verrill Dana, LLP in the Energy, Telecommunications and Natural Resources Group. In this role, I provide regulatory legal counsel, advocacy, and compliance counseling to telecommunications, broadband, cable, and other technology companies operating within complex legal and regulatory environments.
Prior Experience
Prior to joining Verrill Dana, I served as Vice President and Deputy General Counsel at Verizon, one of the world’s largest providers of technology and communications services. In that capacity, I led a team of legal and regulatory professionals representing the company before state regulatory commissions, state attorneys general, and state and federal courts.
Regulatory & Public Policy Experience
At Verizon, I also supported regional State Public Policy teams on legislative advocacy and lobbying compliance matters. I regularly collaborated with internal experts and outside counsel to achieve strategic, cost-effective outcomes in both defensive and affirmative litigation.
Corporate Leadership Roles
In addition to my regulatory responsibilities, I served as Vice President, General Counsel, and Secretary for several Verizon-owned entities.
Mission & Professional Approach
My mission is to leverage my expertise to help clients navigate the evolving legal and regulatory landscape, protect their interests, and achieve their business objectives. I have a proven track record of delivering high-quality legal counsel, managing and developing teams, building strong stakeholder relationships, and handling complex, high-stakes matters with professionalism and integrity.
