Makeda Osbourne is an associate in Simpson Thacher & Bartlett LLP Private Funds practice. Makeda participates in advising private investment fund sponsors in connection with the formation, structuring, marketing and operation of their private investment funds. Makeda’s practice also includes advising fund sponsors generally with respect to the Federal securities laws, including the Investment Advisers Act of 1940.
Makeda has experience representing some of the largest and most well-known private fund sponsors, including Blackstone, Carlyle and KKR.
Makeda received her Juris Doctor degree from Howard University School of Law and her Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Pittsburgh. She is admitted to practice law in both New York and Texas.
