Marcus Jones is an experienced attorney with a focus on specialty finance. Prior to joining Encore Capital Group, Marcus served as Associate Counsel for the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs. Additionally, Marcus previously worked for Maryland Legal Aid, providing free legal representation to low-income Maryland residents. Marcus is also a former Judicial Law Clerk to the Honorable Sherrie Robinson Bailey of the Circuit Court for Baltimore County.
In May 2025, The National Black Lawyers recognized Marcus as one of the Top 40 Under 40 attorneys in the state of Maryland.
