Mark St. Vil is a Haitian-American personal injury attorney from Miami, Florida, and the founder of The St. Vil Firm, PLLC. He focuses his practice on representing individuals who have been injured due to the negligence of others, with an emphasis on motor vehicle accidents, premises liability, negligent security, dog bite claims, and slip & fall disputes. Known for his hands-on and client-focused approach, Attorney St. Vil prides himself on maintaining direct communication with clients while aggressively pursuing favorable outcomes both in and out of litigation.
Attorney St. Vil graduated magna cum laude from Florida A&M University before earning his Juris Doctor from Florida A&M University College of Law, where he was elected Hooding Speaker for the 2014 graduating class.
His legal career began in criminal litigation as a Certified Legal Intern with the 9th Judicial Circuit State Attorney’s Office in Orlando, where he handled hundreds of cases, including serious felony matters. He later served as an Assistant Public Defender in Miami-Dade County, gaining substantial courtroom and trial experience while building a reputation as a confident and effective advocate.
Attorney St. Vil eventually transitioned into civil litigation and insurance defense, where he represented insurance companies and corporate defendants in high-value personal injury claims. That experience provided him with firsthand insight into how insurance carriers investigate claims, evaluate cases, and approach settlement negotiations. Today, he uses that knowledge to advocate for injured clients and level the playing field against insurance companies.
Since founding The St. Vil Firm, Attorney St. Vil has built a reputation for practical, results-driven representation and strong community involvement throughout South Florida. In addition to his legal practice, he serves as Chairman of the North Miami Beach Planning & Zoning Board and is the founder of People About Change, Inc., a nonprofit organization focused on mentorship, education, and community outreach initiatives for underserved youth.
Attorney St. Vil has been recognized with multiple “40 Under 40” honors and was officially recognized by the City of North Miami Beach with the proclamation of “Mark St. Vil Day” on August 31 in recognition of his professional accomplishments and community contributions.
Outside of the practice of law, he enjoys spending time with family and friends, attending sporting events, weight training, and a good game of Texas Hold’Em.
