Tara Jackson has an expansive capital markets practice and is experienced in corporate governance, initial and secondary public offerings, PIPE financing, ’34 Act reporting requirements, regulatory compliance, mergers and acquisitions, and other general corporate matters. Her regulatory experience includes compliance with the SEC, NASDAQ, NYSE, and state securities laws.
Tara represents clients across a wide range of industries, including healthcare, utilities, financial services, automotive, and technology. Her business background and practical approach to problem solving allow her to provide effective solutions to complex legal matters. She previously served as co-chair of Akerman’s Black Internal Bridge Network Group.
Most recently, Tara served as in-house counsel for Truist Financial Corporation and eBay Inc., advising boards, general counsel, and executive leadership on corporate governance matters, SEC filings, reporting obligations, and compliance issues. Prior to practicing law, she served as compliance director for a group of financial institutions in Jamaica, where she drafted and implemented Anti-Money Laundering and Counter-Terrorism Financing policies and procedures and completed a corporate restructuring to ensure compliance with Jamaican regulations.
