Senior Staff Attorney — GLAD Law
GLBTQ Legal Advocates & Defenders (GLAD Law) seeks a Senior Staff Attorney to help advance LGBTQ+, HIV, and broader civil rights at a pivotal moment. This fully remote leadership role reports to the Legal Director and combines complex impact litigation, team leadership, attorney supervision, and strategic collaboration across litigation, policy, and public education.
The Senior Staff Attorney will lead precedent-setting cases in state and federal courts, including matters involving the federal government; supervise and mentor attorneys; guide litigation teams; draft briefs and advocacy materials; support amicus efforts; and contribute to legal strategy, policy initiatives, and client development.
Candidates must hold a J.D., be admitted in at least one U.S. state, and bring at least 10 years of litigation experience. Strong candidates will have experience with complex motion practice, trials, appeals, constitutional, civil rights, or administrative law, along with a demonstrated commitment to LGBTQ+, HIV, racial justice, or related social justice issues.
Salary is $145,000–$170,000 for attorneys with 11–19 years of experience and $170,000–$200,000 for 20–29 years, plus comprehensive benefits and professional development.
