Elizabeth "Liz" Huntley is an experienced litigation attorney who practices in the areas of Banking & Financial Services, Consumer Law, Business Litigation and Products Liability. Liz is also a committed child advocate and provides legal and consultation services to governmental and non-profit agencies that serve children and families. Liz has served as Law Clerk to both the Honorable U.W. Clemon, United States District Court Northern District of Alabama, and the Honorable John Bush, 19th Judicial Circuit, State of Alabama. Liz is a leader in both professional and community organizations. In her commitment to the legal profession, Liz serves on DRI's Diversity for Success Seminar Committee and is active in the Alabama State and Birmingham Bar Associations. She is the recipient of many honors and awards. As an individual whose childhood was tainted by poverty and other difficult challenges, Liz has become a well-known child advocate in Alabama. Liz serves on several boards, including Leadership Alabama Board of Directors, Children's First Foundation Board of Directors, Children's Village Board of Directors, Alabama School Readiness Alliance and Project Gear (President and Co-Founder). Liz also serves as a motivational speaker to various groups and organizations where she challenges audiences to adopt her "no excuses" philosophy. Liz recently published her personal memoir More Than A Bird which recounts her childhood journey from unimaginable darkness to radiance. Liz earned her J.D. from the University of Alabama School of Law, where she was an editor of the Law and Psychology Review, and now serves as Vice-Chair of the law school's Board of Trustees for Farrah Law Society. Liz received her undergraduate degree from Auburn University, where she serves on the University's Board of Trustees. Liz and her husband Tony are the proud parents of three children.
