Annamaria Steward is the first Executive Director of The National Black Lawyers Top 100 and Top 40 Under 40. Before joining The National Black Lawyers, Annamaria served as the inaugural Director of Leadership and Strategic Development for the D.C. Bar; Associate Dean of Students at the University of the District of Columbia David A. Clarke School of Law, a public, social justice-focused law school; Associate Attorney at Jack H. Olender & Associates, P.C.; and long-term law clerk for the Chief Judge of D.C. Court of Appeals. Annamaria has actively served on the boards of six local and national legal associations. Notably, she is a former president of the D.C. Bar, the largest unified bar in the country with over 107,000 members; and was the first African-American woman elected president of the voluntary Bar Association of the District of Columbia, a now 149-year-old institution.
