Husch Blackwell, a
full service law firm, has an immediate opening in its Austin office for
an Energy Regulatory/Corporate Associate with a minimum of three years
of energy transactional and/or regulatory litigation and compliance
experience. Candidates in other locations will be considered. The ideal
candidate will have experience handling regulatory and compliance matters
before the Texas Public Utility Commission and other state energy regulatory
commissions, as well as matters before or involving the Electric Reliability
Council of Texas (ERCOT) or other ISO/RTOs or organized power markets. Experience
involving advocacy before state utility commissions, or involving power
transactions, including mergers, acquisitions, power sales, and related
matters, would be beneficial.
The
candidate must have a strong academic record, strong interpersonal skills with
the ability to work well with a team, superior judgment, the ability to
effectively handle multiple projects, and the ability to articulate legal
strategies and courses of action. Candidates
should have an active bar license in the state corresponding with the office to
which they are applying or commit to obtaining one as soon as possible.
