David is a registered patent lawyer whose practice encompasses software and information technology, computer technology, and Internet-related technologies. With a B.S. in Computer and Information Science and several years of practical software engineering experience, David is acutely aware of the challenges that must be surmounted by inventors.
David specializes in patent preparation and prosecution, infringement analysis, and global IP portfolio development. His technical areas of focus include object-oriented programming, software analysis and development, operating system (Windows, *nix, Android), embedded systems, database design and implementation, data obfuscation/encryption, multi-process synchronization, distributed networking, graphics processing, content delivery, signal analysis (for example, satellite transmission systems and remote control band analysis), and antivirus and antimalware applications. He also has experience working with hardware components, such as CPUs, GPUs and computer systems in general, as well as experience working with medical devices.
Previously, David was a software engineer at EchoStar and prior to that was a system engineer at Comcast. His previous work experience provided him with knowledge in the areas of set top box software and hardware.
Outside of work, David is actively involved as a coach/mentor for several youth sports programs. He finds that his numerous years of video game playing experience provides his teams with a competitive advantage over those teams with coaches who actually played outside during the summer.
