Reed Has Been Employed At The Law Center For Over 22 Years. She Was Named As A Director Of CLE/Continuing Legal Education In July Of 1999 And Served In That Capacity Until 2019, When She Was Appointed To The Position Of Associate Vice Chancellor Of Academic Support And Joined The Full-Time Faculty As An Associate Professor Of Law.
Before Joining Southern University Law Center, Reed Was Under The Tutelage Of Now Retired Judge Luke A. Lavergne, Who Assisted Her In Starting Her Career In Private Practice In The Area Of Family Law And Successions And Donations. Reed Also Served As An Assistant Attorney General Working In The Areas Of Civil Litigation And Worker’s Compensation.
Reed Is A Member Of The Louisiana State Bar Association, National Bar Association, National Bar Women Lawyers Division, Baton Rouge Bar Association, The Greater Baton Rouge Chapter Of The Louis A. Martinet Legal Services, Louisiana Supreme Court’s MCLE Committee, American Bar Association, Baton Rouge Women Leaders Associations, Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., And Top Ladies Of Distinction.
