Roland E. Swanson Jr. is the founder and managing attorney of The Swanson Law Firm. Born and raised in St. Louis, Missouri, Mr. Swanson draws his inspiration from his hometown upbringing. Mr. Swanson is an advocate for social justice and fights vigorously to obtain favorable and just outcomes for all clients.
Mr. Swanson proudly holds degrees from two distinguished Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs); Jackson State University and Howard University School of Law. These institutions, steeped in rich cultural history, helped instill the values of excellence, resilience, and the importance of preserving heritage.
During his legal career, Mr. Swanson has practiced in a wide array of legal areas including personal injury, family law, mass tort litigation, and both state and federal criminal law. He is actively licensed to practice in the State of Missouri, the State of Illinois, and the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Missouri.
