Husch Blackwell, a national law firm, has an
immediate opening in its Kansas City office for a Senior Banking
& Finance Associate with a minimum of four years of experience
preferred. General commercial finance experience is required, including experience
in transactions involving commercial real estate lending, C&I lending, asset-based
lending, dealer floor plan finance, sponsor/acquisition finance, mezzanine
financing structures and/or syndicated financing transactions. Experience should include handling all
aspects of documenting, negotiating and closing commercial loan transactions. The candidate should be interested in
business development and interacting directly with client’s internal legal and
business staffs.
The
candidate must have excellent academic credentials and drafting and communication
skills, as well as experience managing junior associates and paralegals. The
ideal candidate will have the ability to work independently on transactions
with limited supervision and to gain the trust and confidence of direct client
contacts. Prior law firm experience including the ability to work well with a
team, superior judgment, the ability to effectively handle multiple projects,
and the ability to articulate legal strategies and courses of action is required.
Candidates
should have an active Missouri bar license or commit to obtaining one as soon
as possible.
