Husch Blackwell, a national law
firm, has an immediate opening for a Renewable Energy Corporate Associate with five to six
years of experience. The position is
open to all offices, with a preference for Austin, Denver, or Kansas City. The
position will work primarily with attorneys in the Energy and Natural Resources
business unit on corporate transactions for renewable energy clients. The ideal candidate will have experience with
mergers and acquisitions, corporate governance, negotiations of power offtake agreements including Power
Purchase Agreements, and related
corporate needs of utility-scale projects.
The
candidate must have a strong academic record, strong interpersonal skills with
the ability to work well with a team, superior judgment, the ability to
effectively handle multiple projects, and the ability to articulate legal
strategies and courses of action. We look for dynamic and entrepreneurial
individuals with varied backgrounds, interests, and experience for a diverse
candidate pool. Candidates should have an
active bar license in the state corresponding with the office to which they are
applying or commit to obtaining one as soon as possible.
Pursuant to Colorado’s Equal Pay
for Equal Work Act, the compensation range for this position in Denver only is
$220,000 to $245,000, commensurate with qualifications and experience. Associates are eligible for an Associate
Performance Bonus and Client Development Bonus. In addition, employees receive
a comprehensive benefit package including medical, dental, and vision.
