This position provides professional legal services to the Region Director, project development chiefs, technical services chief, and other staff in the Region and Department, on all matters affecting the delivery of megaprojects and other high priority projects within the region. In addition, this position will represent the Department to the Office of Railroad Commissioner, Milwaukee Metropolitan Sewage District, Department of Natural Resources and other regulatory bodies, as well as in legal contract development and negotiations with railroads, utilities and municipalities regarding property use and compensation.
Candidates must be licensed to practice law in the State of Wisconsin prior to the application deadline.

• Providing legal representation in the areas of governmental operations, administration, and transportation.
• Administering or applying transportation policies and programs.
• Analyzing and defending claims including experience with highway construction standards and specifications.
