Alasia Dalton was born and raised in Caroline County, Virginia and moved to Atlanta, Georgia to attend Spelman College. She graduated from Spelman with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology in 2016. While at Spelman, she was inducted into the Delta Epsilon Iota Academic Honor Society, the National Society of Leadership and Success, and Phi Delta Phi Law Fraternity, International. Alasia went on to attend Georgia State University, where she graduated Summa Cum Laude from the Andrew Young School of Policy Studies with a Master’s degree in Social Work.

Alasia earned her Juris Doctor degree from the Walter F. George School of Law at Mercer University, where she graduated with the Order of the Barristers honor. While at Mercer Law, she served as the Mercer Black Law Student Association’s Social Action Chair and Alumni Affairs Chair, Secretary for Mercer Advocacy Council, and a member of Mercer Advocacy Council’s Mock Trial Team.

Alasia participated in the Case Western Case Classic Mock Trial Competition, where she and her teammates were finalists, finishing in second place. She and her teammates went on to compete and win the American Association for Justice (AAJ) Regional Mock Trial Competition, which was a first in Mercer Advocacy Council history. After winning the regional competition, she and her team competed in the AAJ National Mock Trial Competition in New Orleans, Louisiana, where they were Quarterfinalists.

During her time at Mercer, Alasia was sworn in under the Student Practice Rule, inducted into Phi Delta Phi Legal Honor Society, and was chosen as a Georgia Association of Black Women Attorneys (GABWA) Foundation scholar. She also had the opportunity to intern for the Allen Law Firm, a criminal defense firm in Warner Robins, Georgia. Prior to joining Lister Holt & Dennis, Alasia worked with the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development, Fair Housing and Equal Opportunity Office, investigating housing discrimination cases.

In her free time, she enjoys traveling, cooking, and spending time with her family, friends, and Yorkie, Zoey.
