April A. Robinson, Esq. is the CEO, Founder and Managing Attorney of The Elevation Law Firm, LLC. She graduated from Spelman College in 2007, where she earned her B.A. in Political Science and International Studies. April earned her Juris Doctorate from Boston College Law School in 2011.
Since being admitted to practice law in the State of Georgia, April has handled hundreds of civil cases and successfully taken over cases to trial in State, Superior, and Magistrate Court, in addition to petitioning briefs before the Court of Appeals. Across the state of Georgia, April has tried over 60 civil jury trials in State and Superior Court to full verdict. She has also tried multiple cases in Magistrate Court to full verdict across Georgia. When April takes on a case, she brings to the table the scope of her knowledge, experience, and expertise. Currently, April works as a Business Consultant and Licensed Attorney. Her practice areas include: Business Law; Intellectual Property; Civil Litigation; Entertainment Law; and Music & Royalty Law.
Before establishing The Elevation Law Firm, LLC, April practiced civil litigation, complex claims, and insurance defense for some the nation’s leading insurance corporations. Expanding her legal acumen, April also worked as an Assistant District Attorney in Fulton County, Georgia. While working at the Fulton County District Attorney's Office, April oversaw and supervised the Community Prosecution Division's research on the economic impact of the revitalization efforts from the agency's Asset Forfeitures.
Earlier in legal career, April served as the Associate General Counsel for a global medical device corporation headquartered in California. April oversaw contracts with international business stakeholders, assisted with FDA compliance, and facilitated with foreign governmental agencies abroad. What was most interesting about this role was seeing first-hand the importance of having strong intellectual property protections in place for the stability of a brand or business. Later this intellectual curiosity would play an instrumental role in the formation of The Elevation Law Firm, LLC. April established The Elevation Law Firm, LLC to protect entrepreneurs, entertainers, and influencers in business. Currently, April works as a Global Business Consultant and Licensed Attorney. Outside of the courtroom, April currently serves on the board of Distinguished Young Ladies, which is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization for girls dedicated to encouraging academic achievement, developing positive relationships, and teaching life skills that will navigate them toward their purpose.
