Aretha Frazier represents clients in complex litigation matters. In 2022, she won a precedent-setting victory for client Davita in one of the first-ever criminal labor market allocation cases brought by the Department of Justice. Ms. Frazier joined WilmerHale in 2018 as a summer associate.

As a law student, Ms. Frazier served as the president of the University of Colorado Law School’s Black Law Student Association and volunteered with the Korey Wise Innocence Project. As a student attorney with the school’s Civil Practice Clinic, she practiced plaintiff-side employment law, primarily handling wrongful terminations and wage disputes, and she interned at the US District Court of Colorado, where she researched legal issues related to Social Security, civil rights and other issues.

Before beginning her legal career, Ms. Frazier worked as a literacy tutor in Denver with AmeriCorps. She also served as a Peace Corps volunteer in Zambia, where she taught English and conducted anti-HIV/AIDS work as a Rural Education Development volunteer.
