Arthur Bryan, II, is Senior Vice President, Chief Legal Officer and Corporate Secretary for Hellas, a TenCate Company, and is a member of the Senior Leadership Team. His responsibilities include overseeing the company’s legal function, including corporate transactional matters, litigation and regulatory, commercial contracts and disputes, employment compliance and litigation, ethics and compliance programs, M&A, risk management and intellectual property. In addition, he advises the Board of Directors on corporate governance matters.
Arthur most recently served as In-House Counsel and Head of Legal for Hellas, in addition to being a member of the company’s senior management team.
Prior to joining Hellas, Arthur was a shareholder at Guevara Law, P.C. and head of the firm’s business and corporate law practice group, in addition to serving as outside general counsel to 19 Texas municipalities in the firm’s appointed role as city attorney. Before that, Arthur served as Associate General Counsel at UT-Battelle, LLC, the Managing and Operating contractor of the Department of Energy’s Oak Ridge National Laboratory, responsible for all federal procurement actions and commercial transactions on behalf of the lab.
Previously, he held both corporate counsel and commercial roles, both domestic and internationally, with Bechtel Corporation’s Energy and Infrastructure Global Business Units.
Arthur received his bachelor’s degree, cum laude, from St. Mary’s University and his juris doctorate, with honors, from West Virginia University College of Law. He is a member of the Texas Bar College, and is a Fellow of the Texas Bar Foundation, Houston Bar Foundation and Houston Young Lawyers Foundation.
Arthur currently serves as a member of the State Bar of Texas Local Services Committee, as vice president of the Austin Black Lawyers Association and on the board of directors of Embrace Life Initiative, a 501(c)(3) non-profit, as the non-profit’s general counsel. He previously served on the board of directors of Yellowstone College Prep and the Houston Bar Association. Arthur also served on the board of trustees of the Houston Young Lawyers Foundation, and as a director on the boards of the Texas Young Lawyers Association, Houston Young Lawyers Association and the Young Friends of Ronald McDonald House Houston.
